- 3D Scan Data: We collect images captured through your device's camera to create 3D models of rooms.
- 2D Furniture Images: You may upload 2D images of furniture for conversion to 3D models.
- User Account Information: If applicable, we collect information necessary for account creation and management.
We use this data to:
- Create 3D models of rooms based on your scans
- Convert 2D furniture images into 3D models
- Improve our app's functionality and user experience
We do not collect or store device information beyond what is necessary for the functioning of the app.
Data Processing and Storage
Cloud Processing: All 3D scans and 2D to 3D conversions are processed on our secure cloud servers.
Data Retention: To manage our cloud storage costs, we automatically delete all user data, including 3D scans and furniture images, after a maximum of two weeks. Processed results may be retained longer in the future to enable syncing between your devices.
Third-Party Services
We use a third-party API for 2D to 3D furniture image conversions. These images are typically sourced from the internet and do not include pictures of users' personal spaces. We do not share any user room scan data with third parties.
User Rights and Controls
- Your scan and furniture data is automatically removed after two weeks.
- We may introduce features to allow you to manage your data in the future.
- There are currently no opt-in or opt-out options for data collection or processing, as these are core functionalities of the app.
Data Security
We prioritize the security of your data:
- All data is with encryption.
- Access to our cloud is strictly limited to authorized personnel only.
Children's Privacy
While Kanai is not specifically intended for users under 13, we do not restrict its use based on age. Parents or guardians should supervise their children's use of the app and contact us with any concerns.
